Infant Hospitalized from Dog Bite in Aberdeen

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Aberdeen Police say a baby boy is in the hospital after being bit by his family’s dog on Sunday evening.

The baby, an eight-month-old, suffered injuries to his head after the dog bit him at around 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the 200 block of Woodland Green Way in Aberdeen.

Authorities secured the scene while members of the Aberdeen Fire Department provided medical treatment. The child needed to be flown via Maryland State Police Department Medevac to Johns Hopkins Pediatric Hospital for treatment.

The infant remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition. Police say the dog has been removed from the residence.

  2. Those “nanny” dogs are certain maiming and killing children frequently, aren’t they? Poor kids can’t catch a break because their fool parents or fool neighbors or fool dog walkers have no control whatsofreakingever over their pit nannies. Poor baby…glad he lived and hope the scarring is minimal. How cruel.
