Man Convicted Of Murder In Shooting Death In Harford County
BEL AIR, Md. (AP) — A Harford County jury has convicted a man in of second-degree murder in a shooting last year in Perryman.
The State's Attorney's Office said in a news release that the jury on Friday also convicted 38-year-old James Ashford of assault in the death of 28-year-old Joshua Allen Walter.
Prosecutors say on Aug. 25, 2015, sheriff's deputies found Walter mortally wounded with a gunshot wound to his chest. Authorities say Ashford was found nearby suffering from injuries after being hit by a car.
Investigators say the two men had argued over a woman and the shooting and a fight happened in a car.
Ashford faces a maximum of 115 years in prison at sentencing in December.
