WEATHER BLOG: Windy Conditions as Matthew Heads Out To Sea

Gusty winds have developed behind Post Tropical Cyclone Matthew as the storm continues to push out to sea. A wind advisory remains in effect for counties south of Baltimore through 6pm tonight. A wind advisory remains in effect for portions of the Eastern Shore through midnight tonight. During this time, wind gusts up to 50mph are possible.

While winds will diminish below advisory criteria in central Maryland this evening, it is still going to be a blustery and chilly night in the area as we drop down into the lower 40s. Mainly dry weather will follow for Columbus Day, but temperature will be cooler than average with highs forecast in the lower 60s.
