3 Stabbed, 1 Shot As Violence Breaks Out On Halloween In Fells Point

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Three people were stabbed and another person was shot after violence breaks out during Halloween in Fells Point.

Videos posted to social media show the chaos as police try to control a massive brawl.

Hundreds filled the streets to celebrate the holiday.

Investigators say around 1 a.m. a fight broke out at the corner of Broadway and Aliceanna.

Three men were stabbed-- one of them critically in the incident.

Less than an hour later, officers run three blocks away where a woman was shot in the foot.

"While the crowd was in the hundreds, we don't have a lot of information on the suspects that committed these acts," said Baltimore Police Sgt. Jaron Jackson.

Last Halloween, shots were fired in the same area on the same night.

Joy Giordano with Fells Point Main Street says Halloween is hurting area businesses.

"It's turning into a public safety issue. It's turning into a health issue that I think Fells Point and the City of Baltimore cannot allow to continue," Giordano said.

Many of the bars and restaurants actually closed early to try and get the crowds to leave the area.

Some of those businesess are now looking to make change

"We are going to take the time to sit down and evaluate what happened," Giordano said.

Police are now looking at surveillance tape from the community to try and make arrests.

Between added security and damage repairs, some businesses say Halloween is not a profitable night for them.
