Baltimore Team Headlines: Ravens Have Not Won A Game By Double-Figures In Nearly Two Years

The Baltimore Ravens are expected to defeat the winless Cleveland Browns (0-9) on Thursday night and improve their record to 5-4 on the season. The Ravens are currently 10-point favorites, and while the line could change a tad either way, the Ravens will likely be huge favorites when the ball is kicked off to start the game.

Here's the thing: The Ravens have not won a game by two scores or more since defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-17 in a divisional playoff game at Heinz Field on January 3, 2015. Since that upset victory, Baltimore has won nine more times, though those victories have all been by eight or fewer points. This includes the team's four wins this year, which have been by an average of five points. With that being said, Baltimore has a good chance of snapping that streak against the Browns.

Cleveland has the highest point differential in the league at -105 points or (-11.6 points a game). The Browns are surrendering over 30 points a game and are the first team to give up 25 or more points in their first nine games since the Denver Broncos in 1965.

Ben Watson vs. Eric Weddle for President

In honor of Election Day, the team conducted a poll where Ravens players were asked which teammate they thought would be best suited to be President of the United States. It appears that the race would come down to tight end Ben Watson and safety Eric Weddle.

"You have to be well-cultured. You have to know how different cultures interact," said offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, who said he would vote for Watson or Weddle.

Outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil also got some votes, as did long snapper Morgan Cox.

Justin Tucker Upset over Non-call

In what comes as no surprise to anyone, K Justin Tucker is reportedly upset about a non-call that sent Buffalo kicker Dan Carpenter to the ground during the Bills-Seahawks game on Monday night. The Bills sent Carpenter out to attempt a 49-yard field goal at the end of the first half, but before he could attempt the kick, Seahawks safety Richard Sherman got an early jump off the line and crashed into Carpenter. The kicker went down, causing the Bills' training staff to run onto the field to tend to him. Sherman was just flagged for being offside unabated to the kick.

Following the play, Tucker tweeted:

Tavon Young Becomes Team's No. 2 Cornerback

Young was not expected to see a huge amount of time on the field as he entered the season as the team's No. 4 cornerback. However, injuries to veteran corners Jerraud Powers and Shareece Wright has given the rookie a chance. And Young has definitely taken advantage of this opportunity.

Young did an excellent job against Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday, earning himself a game ball. The fourth-round draft choice out of Temple has appeared in each of the Ravens' eight games, starting the last three contests. He has racked up 25 tackles, picked off two passes, recorded two pass defensed and recovered a fumble so far.

As the Ravens square off against the Browns this Thursday night, Young will have yet another opportunity to show why he is quickly becoming a key component of Baltimore's defense.
