The New Pitching Coach Of The Baltimore Orioles Roger McDowell
Roger McDowell is the new pitching coach of the Baltimore Orioles after spending 11 seasons in Atlanta.
Roger joined Ed and Rob to talk about what his plans are for the current O's pitching staff going forward to next season.
Roger started by talking about the "young arms" the Orioles have and who is ready to start now and contribute to the team right away saying, "I really haven't had a big opportunity to sit down and look yet, obviously spring training is right around the corner, so I'll have an opportunity to watch film and coach the guys."
As for how his experiences in Atlanta can help him here in Baltimore, Roger said, "I think obviously going through a major league season with whatever staff you have whether it's young or old, each day presents new challenges...the time I spent in Atlanta was very enjoyable it's very rare for a big league coach to stay in one place for 11 years like I did here."
