Weather Blog: Rain Likely On Saturday

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Low pressure over Pennsylvania will track north into Ontario this weekend. Weak high pressure will build into the area late Sunday, and remain through midweek.

The latest surface analysis suggests the cold front has made it to about the Blue Ridge. Current radar composite indicates that showers are numerous to widespread across the western half of the forecast area, in line with the frontal zone. Have made appropriate adjustments to the database.

While instability is not expected to be deep enough to produce much lightning, would not rule out some small hail if stronger showers develop this afternoon. Highs today should reach the 60s except along the PA border and in the higher elevations. Sounding based max temp is 66F, so made no edits to high temp forecast at this time.
