A Dundalk man has pleaded guilty on Wednesday after he aimed a laser pointer toward a police chopper last year.
Police say a ban on the sale and possession of laser pointers in Ocean City has led to a significant decline in incidents and complaints.
It may be used as a plaything, but laser pointers are deadly serious when focused on aircrafts. Incidents of pilots being temporary blinded has nearly doubled.
Authorities say the pilots of a Maryland State Police helicopter were temporarily blinded by a laser
pointer, and a 13-year-old boy has been charged in the incident.
