The Baltimore Ravens seem to be adjusting well to new offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak.
The injury problems continue to pile up for the Baltimore Ravens during this pre-season, especially at cornerback.
I felt the Ravens lost a bit of their edge when Q was traded to SF and Pollard went to Tennessee. I thought the team needed a player especially on offense who’d fire everyone up an ” play like a Raven” I’m pretty sure 89 is that guy.
One of the biggest roster questions other than cornerback for the Ravens is that of Right Tackle. Ricky Wagner has been getting the majority of first-team reps at the position, but nothing is set in stone just yet.
“[Harbaugh] said Ricky’s been solid, and solid comes before good, which comes before great. So Wagner isn’t good or great just yet, but he’s looking like he’ll win the job,” said Coleman.
“He’s probably in the top four players you cannot afford to lose. It just shows how valuable he is, because you saw how Dominique franks faired when replacing him,” said Wilson.
“The thing about the preseason is you just sort of want to survive and advance to games that matter,” Wilson added.
Although depth and injury problems have been a factor in the preseason for Baltimore, there have been a number of bright spots in the first two games.
I was sad to see Vonta Leach depart because he was my kinda player, pancaking linebackers on regular basis etc. When he left I assumed the fullback was no longer part of the Ravens’ offense. Well, I’m happy to say I was wrong.
Joe Flacco hadn’t even taken the field yet when Baltimore scored its second touchdown to go ahead for good.
