Skatepark Of Baltimore
Skateparks allow skateboarders to show-off their skills on half-pipes, quarter pipes, spine transfers, handrails, fun boxes, vert ramps, and many more recreational features. The first skateboards, introduced to the world in the early 1940s, were made of wood boxes with roller skate wheels. Today’s skateboards are sleek and very different to the box crates of old. The end of the month marks an important deadline for one area recreation group. Baltimore City has offered to match a grant to the Skatepark of Baltimore in order to build a new skateboard facility but time is running out on the deal.
