Can you believe it? It is the 1st of December and our temperature has already climbed well into the 60s!
There are two parts to this approaching storm. The first part is overspreading the state this afternoon/evening. The second one is still hanging back over the Ohio Valley.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been posted for counties west of Baltimore, starting at midnight. It will be in effect through 2 p.m. Monday for Howard and Montgomery Counties, while it continues through 6 p.m. farther north in Carroll, Frederick, and Washington Counties. Farther west, it’s a Winter Storm Warning for Garrett and Allegany Counties that’s already in effect and will continue through Monday evening.
Officials in Maryland are asking residents to delay travel until after it stops snowing in the state.
A few changes this morning as it looks increasingly likely that we’ll see plain rain for a significant
period of time for only the third time in the past 50+ days.
The wintry mess is moving away, but certainly left its mark.
