Baltimore's Best In Hip-Hop & Rap

There's a lot more to the Baltimore music selection than "Bmore Club."  Though no one from Charm City has had huge mainstream or crossover success as a hip-hop artist, the following emcees are well on their way.

Travis "Bossman" Holifield pinned the 2004 street-proclaimed Baltimore Anthem, "Oh!" which was featured on his independently released album, "Law and Order." One year later, Bossman was signed to Virgin Records under Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label. Though no longer signed to a major label, Bossman continues to make strides in the music scene having since worked with industry mainstream artists such as Gucci Mane, Raheem Devaughn, Jim Jones and Gym Class Heroes, according to his official biography.

Kevin" Mullyman" Muldrow has uprooted from his hometown Baltimore to expand his musical ambitions in Atlanta.  His 2009 video "I Go Harder," which samples a line from hip-hop icon JayZ ("I go harder than Baltimore"), was featured on MTV Jams and MTV 2. His music has been featured on season four and five of the hit HBO drama, "The Wire." Mullyman has collaborated with mainstream artists, such as Sean Paul, The Clipse, Freeway, Memphis Bleek and Ghost Face Killa of the Wu Tang Clan.   The unsigned artist manages his own label called Major League Unlimited.

Brian "Greenspan" Dawkins is making moves in the Baltimore hip-hop and arts scene. In fact, B Free Daily declared him one of the "10 people to watch under 30" in 2011. In addition to successfully releasing mixtapes, Greenspan also has his hands in filmmaking with two documentary projects underway. And when he isn't creating music, he's performing it with a live band.

Tiffani "Miss Cream" Brown is one half of the Baltimore hip-hop group KARTEL. Now the newly crowned "Queen of the Mic 2011" is making solo moves. In March 2011, she shot her official music video for latest single "No Fear," which will be included in her second solo album. She also has plans to debut a clothing line in the spring, called The Cream Bee Collection.

Atlantic City born/ Baltimore raised rapper Young Leek is most known for his hit single "Jiggle It." The song reached the Billboard Top 100 when Leek was merely a teenager, according to his Facebook page. Not long after the success of his hit single, Young Leek spent a short time as a Def Jam signee. No longer on a major leader, the young rapper is revamping his career in hopes to put his music back on the map.
