Founded in the 19th century, the Enoch Pratt Free Library has provided literacy tools and programs to the citizens of Baltimore for generations. Take the kids to hear a story and make a Valentine's Day craft at the Southeast Anchor branch. The library is located in the heart of Baltimore on Eastern Avenue. Cost of the event is free and the library also has free parking on location.

The Reisterstown branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library invites children to enjoy a special Valentine's themed storytime. Participate in games, sing songs and create crafts to encourage learning. The event is free to all patrons. An adult must accompany young children at all times during the event.

Tucked away just off the Jones Falls Expressway, Robert E. Lee Park is one of the few tranquil green spaces in a fast-paced city. This weekend, the park is hosting "Parents' Night Out," an event that includes supervised Valentine's Day activities. Children can have fun at the park with an evening of supervised arts, crafts and games, while adults spend a few hours out on the town. Admission is $8 for members and $10 for everyone else.

The Spirit of Baltimore sails regularly on the harbor waters, offering patrons buffet-style cuisine, a dance floor, a DJ and breathtaking views of the city. On Saturday, the cruise will host a lunch in celebration of Valentine's Day. Bring a party of four or more and, for $19.95, add the "Fiesta Package" to regular admission prices which includes balloons, souvenir cups for each guess and bottomless juice and soda. The ship boards at 11:30 a.m. and ticket prices are $44.90 for adults, $33.95 for children and kids under age three are free.

For more than 45 years, the Pumpkin Theatre has served as a theater venue showcasing talented Baltimore youth in creative stage performances. This Valentine's Day weekend, check out a pint-sized production of well-known Dr. Seuss characters together in one play. "Seussical Jr." is suitable for all ages and kids may enjoy watching relatable characters on stage, as all actors are under the age of 18. Admission is $16 in advance and $14 at the door.
