Best Snowball Stands In Baltimore

When the weather moves from a cool spring day to the unbearable heat, Baltimoreans flock to snowball stands for icy goodness. Snowball stands are so popular in the greater Baltimore area that a Baltimore Snowball Collective was created to map every snowball stand in the metro. The result was "SNOWBAL-TIMORE." A quick glance at the map shows dozens of stands and shops. Here are five of the best snowball stands in Baltimore—and don't forget the marshmallow!

The thatched-roof SnOasis is carefully monitored by loyal customers as the weather warms and they await the first snowball. SnOasis doesn't have a website, but a quick look at its Facebook page shows the classic egg custard syrup and a snowball dripping with a Baltimore favorite, marshmallow. SnOasis' snowballs have been named the Best in Baltimore by Baltimore City Paper several times. The line is often long, but the quality of the snowballs makes it worth the wait.
