It's no secret that Marylanders love their boats, and are especially fond of sailing. This is a fact the Downrigging Weekend 2015 takes well into account as it invites people to converge upon America's best preserved colonial seaport for a tall ship and wooden boat festival.

Chessiecon is an annual convention held by the Thanksgiving Science Fiction Society. While the Society is mostly about women authors of science fiction and fantasy, Chessiecon is a convention — open to all — that diverges into a variety of related fan-fields such as gaming, art, comics and music, all related to science fiction and fantasy.
Attend Chessiecon this November 27th through the 29th to play card, board and video games; to hear panels of authors conduct writing workshops, speak about their books, the writing process and getting published.
