It's no secret that Marylanders love their boats, and are especially fond of sailing. This is a fact the Downrigging Weekend 2015 takes well into account as it invites people to converge upon America's best preserved colonial seaport for a tall ship and wooden boat festival.

From October 29th to November 1st, join hundreds of boaters in the romantic seaside town of Chesterton amidst the crisp air, fall colors and flying geese to enjoy such events as lectures by filmmakers, authors and other such notables, fireworks, wine and food, musical concerts and plenty of sailing.

Attend Chessiecon this November 27th through the 29th to play card, board and video games; to hear panels of authors conduct writing workshops, speak about their books, the writing process and getting published. You'll also be abl to view, and perhaps to purchase, comics and other graphic art; listen to truly unique musical performances (and to get involved in the dancing event, if you feel so inclined); listen to some stand-up comedy, and purchase books, comics, costuming and accessories, puzzles and games, and a great deal more.

The focus of AniMore is and always has been the fans, with fans encouraged to wear costumes associated with their favorite characters in Japanese games, movies, cartoons and comics — a practice called "cosplay" in the convention circuit. Cosplayers will be awarded prizes, and will be a featured part of the entertainment for the three-day convention. But there's far more, including gaming, music, exhibitions and, of course, anime. Experience the very best in Japanese culture right in your back yard at the AniMore convention!
