Penny Dreadful (May 3)

Season two of Showtime's dark drama series "Penny Dreadful" makes its premiere in May, and leading up to the premiere, the network has partnered with YouTube content creators to make a few custom videos. Filled with flashbacks and a budding new relationship, "Madam Secretary's" finale will cap off an already impressive season and have you wishing it was fall already.

Obviously, May is a big month for season finales, so make sure your DVR is set for the finales of "The Big Bang Theory" (May 7), "The Good Wife" (May 10), "The Odd Couple" (May 14) and "Two Broke Girls" (May 18). No DVR? Don't worry, CBS' All Access service will have them for your viewing pleasure too.

For more than 30 years the host has kept us entertained with everything from jokes and interviews to phenomenal music performances and stand-up comedy gigs. On May 20th, Letterman will retire as host of CBS' "Late Show" and usher in a new era with Stephen Colbert taking the helm. If you're not ready to say goodbye just yet, CBS has you covered with their special "David Letterman: A Life On Television," which is set to air on May 4 at 9:30pm ET/PT.

Mumford & Sons – Wilder Mind (May 4)

GRAMMY Award-winning band Mumford & Sons is ditching the banjo (for the most part) on their third studio album "Wilder Mind" for a more electric sound; a sound that was heard earlier this year on their singles "The Wolf" and "Believe." It's been almost three years since their last album "Babel" was released, and fans who were anxious for a new album won't have have to wait much longer.

Mariah Carey – Las Vegas Residency (May 6)

The diva herself announced her May residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on "Ellen" at the beginning of the year, and the time has finally come! Her residency will feature all 18 of her number one hits along with some fan favorites, never-before-heard music selections and, knowing Carey, a few surprises as well. If your ticket isn't already booked, it might not be too late.

Snoop Dogg – Bush (May 12)

Rapper Snoop Dogg is dropping an album in May, and for the first time in a long time, it's not under one of his many alias (remember Snoop Lion?). The California rapper has enlisted the help of super producer Pharrell Williams to make the album come to life, and with songs like "Peaches N Cream" and "So Many Pros" highlighting the album, fans can expect a more laid back and chill vibe from the rapper.
