Coronavirus Latest: 16 Baltimore City Police Officers, 3 Civilian Employees Test Positive For COVID-19

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Sixteen Baltimore City Police officers have tested positive for COVID-19, and three civilian employees have as well, the department said Thursday afternoon.

An additional 63 employees are out on quarantine.

CORONAVIRUS RESOURCES: 

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 315 employees of the department have been quarantined due to exposure.

The Southwest Baltimore Police Station was temporarily shut down after a police officer tested positive last week. It reopened on Monday.

Of the 315 employees, 252 have been cleared to return to work.
