BALTIMORE (WJZ) — As storms moved throughout Maryland Sunday night, some people experienced losses of power.

A total of 12,000 customers were affected as of 8:10 p.m.

That number dropped steadily to 9,532 by 9:10 p.m., and down to 9,069 by 9:20 p.m.

As of 11:07 p.m., there were still 6,546 customers without power, according to BGE.

This comes as heavy rain moved throughout the state, with strong winds coming through as well.

There was a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for most parts of the state, and a severe thunderstorm warning for areas across the state earlier Sunday.

Stay up to date with power outages with BGE’s map.

We were furious with BGE when we lost power for hours. But we have to give credit and a big THANK YOU to the linemen who restored power during the storm. They earn every penny.
